Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating and you can treat it with Botulinum Toxin. Excessive sweating from the armpits can be very embarrassing and can greatly affect the ways people live their lives especially those who work in close proximity to others such as nurses, beauticians, hairdressers, teachers etc. Relief of the condition can greatly improve a person’s confidence when dealing with people and lead to a more relaxed lifestyle. Botulinum Toxin is an excellent and very effective way of treating excessive underarm sweating and can greatly reduce perspiration.

A tiny needle is used to inject small amounts of Botulinum Toxin just beneath the skin’s surface in approximately 10-12 places. This blocks the nerve impulses to the sweat glands and reduces perspiration. Over a period of one week a 60% sweating decrease is seen as an acceptable result with a duration period of a few months. It has been noted that some clients feel they sweat in other areas.
